Theotokion: Cause me to follow in good works those who lived a God-pleasing life, O all-immaculate one, fending off from my soul the attacks of the evil demons, and ever lead my mind up to see the commandments of thy Son and my Creator.
With vigilant watchfulness and fervent supplication to Christ, the venerable ones put to shame the devil, who is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, putting an end to his assaults. Wherefore, with the youths they sang: All ye works, bless and hymn ye the Lord!
