We celebrate thy dormition, O righteous Anna, for Christ God hath glorified thee with ineffable glory, as His grandmother. Wherefore, having been translated, by thy supplications beseech Him to grant us peace, protecting our souls against the adversaries. Twice

By thy divine birthgiving, O pure one, thou hast renewed mortal nature which hath grown corrupt in human passions; and from death thou hast raised up all to the life of incorruption. Wherefore, as thou didst foretell, we all call thee blessed as is meet, O all-glorious Virgin.
