Having tamed the passions through fasting and prayer, thou wast shown to be a great hierarch O father Basil, and didst all-gloriously shepherd thy flock, didst enlighten it with baptism and instruct it to glorify the one God in three Persons. They who with faith have recourse to the Holy Church and the shrine of thy relics do thou save by thy supplications unto God, that thou mayest grant remission of sins unto those who honor thy holy memory with love.
