Irmos: Habbakuk, gazing with the eyes of foresight upon thee, the mountain overshadowed by the grace of God, prophesied that the Holy One of Israel would come forth from thee, for our salvation and restoration.
The land defiled by the deeds of the godless is made blessed again by the sprinkling of your blood. And the waters of the seas and rivers have received the bodies of the drowned as a sacred treasure cast therein.
Theotokion: Manifestly arriving from heaven, O pure one, the angelic commander announced joy to thee, saying: “God shall issue forth from thee in the flesh, O most pure virgin, unto the salvation of those who hymn thee with love!”
Of thine own will suffering lawfully, O most blessed one, through extreme abstinence thou didst make the threefold billows of the passions subject to thy mind, receiving the perfection of virtue, O divinely wise Timothy, thou great preacher.
Irmos: Foreseeing Thy divine condescension upon the Cross, Habbakuk cried out in awe: Thou hast cut down the dominion of the mighty, O Good One, entering into fellowship with those who are in hades, in that Thou art Almighty.
O new hieromartyr, lamp of Tobol’sk, namesake of Hermogenes of Moscow, thy whole life was like a flame which the River Tura could in no wise extinguish. For, drowned, thou didst ascend to thy Lord, and beaten on the mouth, thou didst pray silently until the end. And now thou dost also pray for us.
Theotokion: O, how many of the holy icons are now taken from the faithful by the hands of the godless! Yet the image of the good comfortress is not uprooted from the hearts of those who pray, the confessors of the holy Faith who are bereft of freedom.
Shining like the sun, Paul emitted thee like a radiant beam, with manifest radiance illumining the whole world with rich light, O divinely revealed Timothy, unto our edification and confirmation.
Dreadful is the report concerning the torments of Andronicus, the holy archpastor of Perm, who, fearing not tortures, commanded his flock to take an oath against the godless authorities. And Basil, holy hierarch of Chernigov, with others sent by the Council of All Russia to investigate the slaying of Andronicus, then suffered with him; and they all stand together before the Lord.
Ardently desiring the uttermost of desires, and imbuing thyself with love, with zeal thou didst pass over to another life, O God-pleaser, ever contemplating thy Creator and delighting in the vision of Him.
The archpastor Metrophanes, who glorified the holy hierarch Joseph who of old had been slain by the minions of Razin, was cruelly slain at night; and his fellow bishop Leontius also suffered at that time. Thus, these three hieromartyrs of Astrakhan are illumined by the one light of the kingdom of heaven.
Troparia of the Martyr
Naught could separate thee from thy love for Christ: neither dismemberment, nor the threat of wounds, nor the sword, nor death, nor fire, nor yet starvation, O Anastasius, who hast thine abode with the choirs of heaven.
Taking thy cross upon thy shoulder with zeal, thou didst follow the saving commandments of Christ; and as thou didst emulate Him even unto death, O most excellent one, thou dost now delight in His radiance.
