The daily rule

Prayer

Stay with one prayer. Read it at the size you need, or light a candle and let the rest of the screen go dark.

56 prayers, in the order of a pocket prayer book — the Trisagion that opens the rule, then morning, midday, evening, the table, prayers for particular occasions, prayers after confession, the Canon of Preparation, and prayers before and after Communion. Each one names where its text came from. A complete prayer book is not included here: self-examination lists, prayer cards, and the Divine Liturgy are not; which edition to carry, and under what licence, is not yet settled. A few prayers the book itself carries are missing for want of a source we may reproduce: the morning prayers of St. Macarius and St. Basil, the evening thanksgiving troparia and the evening prayer for forgiveness, and the prayers for the priesthood, the general intercession, and the one to the All-Holy Trinity.
