Irmos: O Christ Who hast enlightened the ends of the world with the radiance of Thy coming and hast illumined them with Thy Cross: with the light of Thy divine knowledge enlighten the hearts of those who hymn Thee in Orthodox manner.
Singing hymns of praise to the Most High with the choirs of the angels and saints, beseech Him to have pity on those who honor thee, O ever-memorable one.
Theotokion: O Mother of God, like the dawn thou hast shone forth the never-setting Sun of true righteousness, bearing Him in thine arms united hypostatically to the flesh; wherefore, we all glorify thee.
Driving away falsehood with the sword of truth and mightily enduring the tyrants’ wounds, ye became victors; and, crowned by Christ, ye now rejoice, as is meet.
Irmos: Night hath passed; the day hath drawn nigh, and light hath shone upon the world. Wherefore, the ranks of angels praise Thee, and all things glorify Thee.
O boast of Kaluga and glory of Kozel’sk, shed the light of divine grace upon thy native land, dispelling utterly the oppressive darkness of ungodliness.
Theotokion: O the magnitude of thy mercy, O all-blessed and holy Theotokos! For, standing with the angels at the throne of thy Son, thou prayest that all be saved.
Strengthened by the invincible power and grace of the Trinity, the two martyrs cast down the prince of darkness and those in thrall to him; wherefore, with honor they are called blessed.
Joining chorus on high with the incorporeal beings, O Jonah, thou dost mercifully emit the light of grace upon the sheep and lambs of thine earthly flock.
With endurance, spiritual courage and resolute intent, the two glorious martyrs transcended all the bitter fury of the tormenters and make their abode with the angels.
