We worship the tree of your Cross, O Lover of mankind, because you, the life of all, were nailed upon it. You opened Paradise, O Saviour, to the Thief when he came to you with faith, and he was granted its delight when he confessed to you: Remember me, O Lord. Receive us too like him, as we cry: We have all sinned; in your compassion do not despise us.
