Isaiah 15

1The word against the land of Moab: In the night the land of Moab shall be destroyed, for the wall of the land of Moab shall be destroyed in the night.

τὸ ῥῆμα τὸ κατὰ τῆς Μωαβίτιδος νυκτὸς ἀπολεῖται ἡ Μωαβῖτις νυκτὸς γὰρ ἀπολεῖται τὸ τεῖχος τῆς Μωαβίτιδος

2Lament for yourselves, for even Dibon, where your altar is, shall be destroyed. Go there to weep over Nebo in the land of Moab. Wail, for baldness shall be on every head, and all arms shall be mutilated.

λυπεῖσθε ἐφ᾿ ἑαυτοῖς ἀπολεῖται γὰρ καὶ Δηβων οὗ ὁ βωμὸς ὑμῶν ἐκεῖ ἀναβήσεσθε κλαίειν ἐπὶ Ναβαυ τῆς Μωαβίτιδος ὀλολύζετε ἐπὶ πάσης κεφαλῆς φαλάκρωμα πάντες βραχίονες κατατετμημένοι

3In her streets, dress yourselves with sackcloth and strike yourselves on her housetops. All of you cry out with bitter wailing in her streets.

ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις αὐτῆς περιζώσασθε σάκκους καὶ κόπτεσθε ἐπὶ τῶν δωμάτων αὐτῆς καὶ ἐν ταῖς ῥύμαις αὐτῆς πάντες ὀλολύζετε μετὰ κλαυθμοῦ

4Heshbon and Elealeh cry out until their voice is heard as far as Jahaz; therefore, the loins of the land of Moab cry aloud, for its soul shall know this.

ὅτι κέκραγεν Εσεβων καὶ Ελεαλη ἕως Ιασσα ἠκούσθη ἡ φωνὴ αὐτῶν διὰ τοῦτο ἡ ὀσφὺς τῆς Μωαβίτιδος βοᾷ ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτῆς γνώσεται

5The heart of the land of Moab cries aloud in itself as far as Zoar, like a three-year-old heifer. On the ascent of Luhith, they shall go up to you with weeping by way of Horonaim. She cries, 'Destruction and earthquake!'

ἡ καρδία τῆς Μωαβίτιδος βοᾷ ἐν αὐτῇ ἕως Σηγωρ δάμαλις γάρ ἐστιν τριετής ἐπὶ δὲ τῆς ἀναβάσεως τῆς Λουιθ πρὸς σὲ κλαίοντες ἀναβήσονται τῇ ὁδῷ Αρωνιιμ βοᾷ σύντριμμα καὶ σεισμός

6The water of Nemerim shall be a desert, and its grass shall fail, for there will be no green grass.

τὸ ὕδωρ τῆς Νεμριμ ἔρημον ἔσται καὶ ὁ χόρτος αὐτῆς ἐκλείψει χόρτος γὰρ χλωρὸς οὐκ ἔσται

7'Even so, will Moab be saved? For I will bring the Arabs upon the valley, and they shall take it.

μὴ καὶ οὕτως μέλλει σωθῆναι ἐπάξω γὰρ ἐπὶ τὴν φάραγγα Ἄραβας καὶ λήμψονται αὐτήν

8For the cry reaches the border of the land of Moab, even of Eglaim, and its wailing as far as the well of Elim.

συνῆψεν γὰρ ἡ βοὴ τὸ ὅριον τῆς Μωαβίτιδος τῆς Αγαλλιμ καὶ ὀλολυγμὸς αὐτῆς ἕως τοῦ φρέατος τοῦ Αιλιμ

9For the water of Dimon shall be full of blood, for I will bring Arabs upon Dimon. I shall take away the seed of Moab, Ariel and the remnant of Adama.

τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ τὸ Ρεμμων πλησθήσεται αἵματος ἐπάξω γὰρ ἐπὶ Ρεμμων Ἄραβας καὶ ἀρῶ τὸ σπέρμα Μωαβ καὶ Αριηλ καὶ τὸ κατάλοιπον Αδαμα
