1 Chronicles 24

1Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ααρων διαιρέσεις υἱοὶ Ααρων Ναδαβ καὶ Αβιουδ Ελεαζαρ καὶ Ιθαμαρ

2And Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; therefore Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests.

καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ναδαβ καὶ Αβιουδ ἐναντίον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἦσαν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἱεράτευσεν Ελεαζαρ καὶ Ιθαμαρ υἱοὶ Ααρων

3Then David, with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their census, according to their ministry, according to their fathers' houses.

καὶ διεῖλεν αὐτοὺς Δαυιδ καὶ Σαδωκ ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Ελεαζαρ καὶ Αχιμελεχ ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Ιθαμαρ κατὰ τὴν ἐπίσκεψιν αὐτῶν κατὰ τὴν λειτουργίαν αὐτῶν κατ᾿ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν

4There were more leaders found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus they were divided. Among the sons of Eleazar were sixteen heads of their fathers' houses, and eight heads of their fathers' houses among the sons of Ithamar.

καὶ εὑρέθησαν υἱοὶ Ελεαζαρ πλείους εἰς ἄρχοντας τῶν δυνατῶν παρὰ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ιθαμαρ καὶ διεῖλεν αὐτούς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ελεαζαρ ἄρχοντας εἰς οἴκους πατριῶν ἓξ καὶ δέκα καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ιθαμαρ ὀκτὼ κατ᾿ οἴκους πατριῶν

5Thus they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of the house of God, from the sons of Eleazar and from the sons of Ithamar.

καὶ διεῖλεν αὐτοὺς κατὰ κλήρους τούτους πρὸς τούτους ὅτι ἦσαν ἄρχοντες τῶν ἁγίων καὶ ἄρχοντες κυρίου ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ελεαζαρ καὶ ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ιθαμαρ

6And the scribe, Shemaiah the son of Nethanel, one of the Levites, wrote them down before the king, the leaders, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the priests and Levites, one father's house taken for Eleazar and one for Ithamar.

καὶ ἔγραψεν αὐτοὺς Σαμαιας υἱὸς Ναθαναηλ ὁ γραμματεὺς ἐκ τοῦ Λευι κατέναντι τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ τῶν ἀρχόντων καὶ Σαδωκ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ Αχιμελεχ υἱὸς Αβιαθαρ καὶ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν οἴκου πατριᾶς εἷς εἷς τῷ Ελεαζαρ καὶ εἷς εἷς τῷ Ιθαμαρ

7Now the first lot fell to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ πρῶτος τῷ Ιαριβ τῷ Ιδεϊα ὁ δεύτερος

8the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

τῷ Χαρημ ὁ τρίτος τῷ Σεωριμ ὁ τέταρτος

9the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

τῷ Μελχια ὁ πέμπτος τῷ Μιαμιν ὁ ἕκτος

10the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

τῷ Κως ὁ ἕβδομος τῷ Αβια ὁ ὄγδοος

11the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

τῷ Ἰησοῦ ὁ ἔνατος τῷ Σεχενια ὁ δέκατος

12the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

τῷ Ελιασιβ ὁ ἑνδέκατος τῷ Ιακιμ ὁ δωδέκατος

13the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

τῷ Οχχοφφα ὁ τρισκαιδέκατος τῷ Ισβααλ ὁ τεσσαρεσκαιδέκατος

14the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

τῷ Βελγα ὁ πεντεκαιδέκατος τῷ Εμμηρ ὁ ἑκκαιδέκατος

15the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,

τῷ Χηζιρ ὁ ἑπτακαιδέκατος τῷ Αφεσση ὁ ὀκτωκαιδέκατος

16the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezekel,

τῷ Φεταια ὁ ἐννεακαιδέκατος τῷ Εζεκηλ ὁ εἰκοστός

17the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,

τῷ Ιαχιν ὁ εἷς καὶ εἰκοστός τῷ Γαμουλ ὁ δεύτερος καὶ εἰκοστός

18the twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.

τῷ Δαλαια ὁ τρίτος καὶ εἰκοστός τῷ Μαασαι ὁ τέταρτος καὶ εἰκοστός

19This was their numbering according to their ministry for coming into the house of the Lord, according to their ordinance by the hand of Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.

αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ τὴν λειτουργίαν αὐτῶν τοῦ εἰσπορεύεσθαι εἰς οἶκον κυρίου κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν αὐτῶν διὰ χειρὸς Ααρων πατρὸς αὐτῶν ὡς ἐνετείλατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ

20And the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Λευι τοῖς καταλοίποις τοῖς υἱοῖς Αμβραμ Σουβαηλ τοῖς υἱοῖς Σουβαηλ Ιαδια

21Concerning Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.

τῷ Ρααβια ὁ ἄρχων Ιεσιας

22Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.

καὶ τῷ Ισσαρι Σαλωμωθ τοῖς υἱοῖς Σαλωμωθ Ιαθ

23Of the sons of Hebron, Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

υἱοὶ Ιεδιου Αμαδια ὁ δεύτερος Ιαζιηλ ὁ τρίτος Ιοκομ ὁ τέταρτος

24Of the sons of Uzziel, Michah; of the sons of Michah, Shamir.

υἱοὶ Οζιηλ Μιχα υἱοὶ Μιχα Σαμηρ

25The brother of Michah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.

ἀδελφὸς Μιχα Ισια υἱοὶ Ισια Ζαχαρια

26The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi; the sons of Jaaziah, the sons of Beno.

υἱοὶ Μεραρι Μοολι καὶ Μουσι υἱοὶ Οζια υἱοὶ Βοννι

27The sons of Merari by Jaaziah, his sons were Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.

υἱοὶ Μεραρι τῷ Οζια υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ Ισοαμ καὶ Ζακχουρ καὶ Αβδι

28Of Mahil: Eleazar and Ithamar; and Eleazar died, and there were no sons by him.

τῷ Μοολι Ελεαζαρ καὶ Ιθαμαρ καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ελεαζαρ καὶ οὐκ ἦσαν αὐτῷ υἱοί

29Of Kish: the son of Kish, Jerahmeel.

τῷ Κις υἱοὶ τοῦ Κις Ιραμαηλ

30Also the sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth.

καὶ υἱοὶ τοῦ Μουσι Μοολι καὶ Εδερ καὶ Ιαριμωθ οὗτοι υἱοὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν κατ᾿ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν

31These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers' houses. These also cast lots just as their brothers the sons of Aaron did, in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the priests and Levites. The chief fathers did just as their younger brethren.

καὶ ἔλαβον καὶ αὐτοὶ κλήρους καθὼς οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν υἱοὶ Ααρων ἐναντίον τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ Σαδωκ καὶ Αχιμελεχ καὶ ἀρχόντων πατριῶν τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν πατριάρχαι αρααβ καθὼς οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ οἱ νεώτεροι
