2Cainan, Mahalalel, Jared,

3Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

4Noah, the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

5The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

6The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Diphath, and Togarmah.

7The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshishah, Kittim, and Rodanim.

8The sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

9The sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raama, and Sabtecha. The sons of Raama were Sheba and Dedan.

10Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty hunter on the earth.

11The sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, and Arphaxad.

12Shela,

13Eber, Pheleg, Ragan,

14Seruch, Nachor, Tharrha,

15Abraham.

16And the sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.

17And these are their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nabaeoth, and Kedar, Nabdeel, Massam,

18Masma, Iduma, Masse, Chondan, Thaeman,

19Jettur, Naphes, Kedma: these the sons of Ishmael.

20And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore him Zembram, Jexan, Madiam, Madam, Sobac, Soe; and the sons of Jexan: Daedan and Sabai;

21and the sons of Madiam: Gephar, and Opher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldada; all these the sons of Keturah.

22And Abraham begot Isaac: and the sons of Isaac were Jacob and Esau.

23The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, and Raguel, and Jeul, and Jeglom, and Core.

24The sons of Eliphaz: Thaeman, and Omar, Sophar, and Gootham, and Kenez, and Thamna, and Amalek.

25And the sons of Raguel, Naches, Zare, Some, and Moze.

26The sons of Seir: Lotan, Sobal, Sebegon, Ana, Deson, Osar, and Disan.

27And the sons of Lotan: Chorri and Aeman; and the sister of Lotan was Thamna.

28The sons of Sobal: Alon, Machanath, Taebel, Sophi, and Onan; and the sons of Sebegon: Aeth and Sonan.

29The sons of Sonan, Daeson; and the sons of Daeson: Emeron, and Asebon, and Jethram, and Charran.

30And the sons of Hosar: Balaam, and Zucam, and Acan; the sons of Disan: Os and Aran.

31And these are their kings: Bela the son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

32When Bela died, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his place.

33When Jobab died, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.

34And when Husham died, Hadad the son of Bedad, who attacked Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his place. The name of his city was Avith.

35When Hadad died, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place.

36And when Samlah died, Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his place.

37When Saul died, Baal-Hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his place.

38And when Baal-Hanan the son of Achbor died, Hadad the son of Barad reigned in his place; and the name of his city was Phogor.

39Hadad died also. And the chiefs of Edom were Chief Timnah, Chief Aliah, Chief Jetheth,

40Chief Aholibamah, Chief Elah, Chief Pinon,

41Chief Kenaz, Chief Teman, Chief Mibzar,

42Chief Magdiel, and Chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
