Irmos, Tone 6: Thy Theophany, O Christ, the Unwaning Light, that mercifully came to pass for us, Isaiah, keeping watch, beheld out of the night, and he cried aloud: "The dead shall arise, and those in the tombs shall be raised up, and all that are born of earth shall rejoice."
Grant rest, O Lord, unto the soul of Thy departed servant.
Grant rest in the choir of the elect and in the delight of paradise, O Compassionate One, unto him whom Thou hast translated from among us in faith; for Thou hast appointed divine repentance for all men who sin, O our Savior. And as Thou art the Master, vouchsafe unto him Thy kingdom.
Grant rest, O Lord, unto the soul of Thy departed servant.
According to Thine authority as Master, as God Thou hast mercy on Thy creation, which Thou didst make subject to human law, O Lord Who alone lovest mankind. Wherefore, O Savior, pardon and remit the sins of him who with faith hath been translated from among us, and vouchsafe him Thy kingdom.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
No one will there elude the dread judgment of Thy throne. Kings and the mighty will all stand forth together with slaves, and the awesome voice of the Judge will send sinful men forth into the judgment of Gehenna. But deliver Thy servant therefrom, O Christ.
Both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
The Deliverer was supernaturally born of thee according to human nature. Him do thou earnestly entreat, O Virgin, that He deliver all from the tortures and cruel and dreadful torments of hades. And save him who hath now been translated from among us with faith.
