2 Ezra 2

1And these are the sons from the places of the people who had gone up from the captivity, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away and settled in Babylon, and who returned to Jerusalem and Judea, every man into his city.

καὶ οὗτοι οἱ υἱοὶ τῆς χώρας οἱ ἀναβαίνοντες ἀπὸ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας τῆς ἀποικίας ἧς ἀπῴκισεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Βαβυλῶνα καὶ ἐπέστρεψαν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ Ιουδα ἀνὴρ εἰς πόλιν αὐτοῦ

2Those who came with Zerubbabel were Jesus, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, and Baanah.

οἳ ἦλθον μετὰ Ζοροβαβελ Ἰησοῦς Νεεμιας Σαραιας Ρεελιας Μαρδοχαιος Βαλασαν Μασφαρ Βαγουι Ρεουμ Βαανα ἀνδρῶν ἀριθμὸς λαοῦ Ισραηλ

3The number of the men of the people of Israel: 3 the sons of Parosh were two thousand one hundred seventy-two;

υἱοὶ Φορος δισχίλιοι ἑκατὸν ἑβδομήκοντα δύο

4the sons of Shephatiah were three hundred seventy-two;

υἱοὶ Σαφατια τριακόσιοι ἑβδομήκοντα δύο

5the sons of Arah were seven hundred seventy-five;

υἱοὶ Ηρα ἑπτακόσιοι ἑβδομήκοντα πέντε

6the sons of Pahath-Moab belonging to the sons of Jesus and Joab were two thousand eight hundred twelve;

υἱοὶ Φααθμωαβ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ιησουε Ιωαβ δισχίλιοι ὀκτακόσιοι δέκα δύο

7the sons of Elam were one thousand two hundred fifty-four;

υἱοὶ Αιλαμ χίλιοι διακόσιοι πεντήκοντα τέσσαρες

8the sons of Zattu were nine hundred forty-five;

υἱοὶ Ζαθουα ἐννακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα πέντε

9the sons of Zaccai were seven hundred sixty;

υἱοὶ Ζακχου ἑπτακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα

10the sons of Bani were six hundred forty-two;

υἱοὶ Βανουι ἑξακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα δύο

11the sons of Bebai were six hundred twenty-three;

υἱοὶ Βαβι ἑξακόσιοι εἴκοσι τρεῖς

12the sons of Azgad were three thousand two hundred twenty-two;

υἱοὶ Ασγαδ τρισχίλιοι διακόσιοι εἴκοσι δύο

13the sons of Adonikam were six hundred sixty-six;

υἱοὶ Αδωνικαμ ἑξακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα ἕξ

14the sons of Bigvai were two thousand fifty-six;

υἱοὶ Βαγοι δισχίλιοι πεντήκοντα ἕξ

15the sons of Adin were four hundred fifty-four;

υἱοὶ Αδιν τετρακόσιοι πεντήκοντα τέσσαρες

16the sons of Ater belonging to Hezekiah were ninety-eight;

υἱοὶ Ατηρ τῷ Εζεκια ἐνενήκοντα ὀκτώ

17the sons of Bezai were three hundred twenty-three;

υἱοὶ Βασου τριακόσιοι εἴκοσι τρεῖς

18the sons of Jorah were one hundred twelve;

υἱοὶ Ιωρα ἑκατὸν δέκα δύο

19the sons of Hashum were two hundred twenty-three;

υἱοὶ Ασεμ διακόσιοι εἴκοσι τρεῖς

20the sons of Gibbar were ninety-five;

υἱοὶ Γαβερ ἐνενήκοντα πέντε

21the sons of Bethlehem were one hundred twenty-three;

υἱοὶ Βαιθλεεμ ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι τρεῖς

22the sons of Netophah were fifty-six;

υἱοὶ Νετωφα πεντήκοντα ἕξ

23the sons of Anathoth were one hundred twenty-eight;

υἱοὶ Αναθωθ ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ὀκτώ

24the sons of Azmaveth were forty-two;

υἱοὶ Ασμωθ τεσσαράκοντα δύο

25the sons of Kirjath Arim, Chephirah, and Beeroth were seven hundred forty-three;

υἱοὶ Καριαθιαριμ Καφιρα καὶ Βηρωθ ἑπτακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα τρεῖς

26the sons of Ramah and Geba were six hundred twenty-one;

υἱοὶ Αραμα καὶ Γαβαα ἑξακόσιοι εἴκοσι εἷς

27the men of Michmas were one hundred twenty-two;

ἄνδρες Μαχμας ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι δύο

28the men of Bethel and Ai were four hundred twenty-three;

ἄνδρες Βαιθηλ καὶ Αια τετρακόσιοι εἴκοσι τρεῖς

29the sons of Nebo were fifty-two;

υἱοὶ Ναβου πεντήκοντα δύο

30the sons of Magbish were one hundred fifty-six;

υἱοὶ Μαγεβως ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα ἕξ

31the sons of Elam were one thousand two hundred fifty-four;

υἱοὶ Ηλαμ—αρ χίλιοι διακόσιοι πεντήκοντα τέσσαρες

32the sons of Harim were three hundred twenty;

υἱοὶ Ηραμ τριακόσιοι εἴκοσι

33the sons of Lod, Aroth, and Ono were seven hundred twenty-five;

υἱοὶ Λοδ Αρωθ καὶ Ωνω ἑπτακόσιοι εἴκοσι πέντε

34the sons of Jericho were three hundred forty-five;

υἱοὶ Ιεριχω τριακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα πέντε

35the sons of Senaah were three thousand six hundred thirty;

υἱοὶ Σαναα τρισχίλιοι ἑξακόσιοι τριάκοντα

36the priests: the sons of Jedaiah belonging to the house of Jesus were nine hundred seventy-three;

καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς υἱοὶ Ιεδουα τῷ οἴκῳ Ἰησοῦ ἐννακόσιοι ἑβδομήκοντα τρεῖς

37the sons of Immer were one thousand fifty-two;

υἱοὶ Εμμηρ χίλιοι πεντήκοντα δύο

38the sons of Pashhur were one thousand two hundred forty-seven;

υἱοὶ Φασσουρ χίλιοι διακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα ἑπτά

39the sons of Harim were one thousand seven;

υἱοὶ Ηρεμ χίλιοι ἑπτά

40the Levites, the sons of Jesus and Kadmiel, belonging to the sons of Hodaviah were seventy-four;

καὶ οἱ Λευῖται υἱοὶ Ἰησοῦ καὶ Καδμιηλ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ωδουια ἑβδομήκοντα τέσσαρες

41the singers: the sons of Asaph were one hundred twenty-eight;

οἱ ᾄδοντες υἱοὶ Ασαφ ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ὀκτώ

42the sons of the gatekeepers: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, and the sons of Shobai were one hundred thirty-nine in all;

υἱοὶ τῶν πυλωρῶν υἱοὶ Σαλουμ υἱοὶ Ατηρ υἱοὶ Τελμων υἱοὶ Ακουβ υἱοὶ Ατιτα υἱοὶ Σαβαου οἱ πάντες ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἐννέα

43the Nethinim: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth,

οἱ ναθιναῖοι υἱοὶ Σουια υἱοὶ Ασουφε υἱοὶ Ταβαωθ

44the sons of Keros, the sons of Siaha, the sons of Padon,

υἱοὶ Κηραος υἱοὶ Σωηα υἱοὶ Φαδων

45the sons of Lebanah, the sons of Hagabah, the sons of Akkub,

υἱοὶ Λαβανω υἱοὶ Αγαβα υἱοὶ Ακαβωθ

46the sons of Hagab, the sons of Shalmai, the sons of Hanan,

υἱοὶ Αγαβ υἱοὶ Σαμαλαι υἱοὶ Αναν

47the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar, the sons of Reaiah,

υἱοὶ Κεδελ υἱοὶ Γαερ υἱοὶ Ρεηα

48the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda, the sons of Gazzam,

υἱοὶ Ρασων υἱοὶ Νεκωδα υἱοὶ Γαζεμ

49the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah, the sons of Besai,

υἱοὶ Ουσα υἱοὶ Φαση υἱοὶ Βασι

50the sons of Asnah, the sons of Meunim, the sons of Nephusim,

υἱοὶ Ασενα υἱοὶ Μαωνιμ υἱοὶ Ναφισων

51the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur,

υἱοὶ Βακβουκ υἱοὶ Ακιφα υἱοὶ Αρουρ

52the sons of Bazluth, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha,

υἱοὶ Βασαλωθ υἱοὶ Μαουδα υἱοὶ Αρησα

53the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Tamah,

υἱοὶ Βαρκους υἱοὶ Σισαρα υἱοὶ Θεμα

54the sons of Neziah, and the sons of Hatipha;

υἱοὶ Νασουε υἱοὶ Ατουφα

55the sons of Abdeselma: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Sophereth, the sons of Peruda,

υἱοὶ Αβδησελμα υἱοὶ Σατι υἱοὶ Ασεφηραθ υἱοὶ Φαδουρα

56the sons of Jaala, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel,

υἱοὶ Ιεηλα υἱοὶ Δαρκων υἱοὶ Γεδηλ

57the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, and the sons of Ami;

υἱοὶ Σαφατια υἱοὶ Ατιλ υἱοὶ Φαχεραθ—ασεβωιν υἱοὶ Ημι

58all the Nethinim and the sons of Abdeselma were three hundred ninety-two.

πάντες οἱ ναθινιν καὶ υἱοὶ Αβδησελμα τριακόσιοι ἐνενήκοντα δύο

59And these came up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer; but they could not identify their father's house or their seed, whether it was of Israel:

καὶ οὗτοι οἱ ἀναβάντες ἀπὸ Θελμελεθ Θελαρησα Χαρουβ Ηδαν Εμμηρ καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνάσθησαν τοῦ ἀναγγεῖλαι οἶκον πατριᾶς αὐτῶν καὶ σπέρμα αὐτῶν εἰ ἐξ Ισραηλ εἰσίν

60the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Bua, the sons of Tobiah, and the sons of Nekoda were six hundred fifty-two;

υἱοὶ Δαλαια υἱοὶ Βουα υἱοὶ Τωβια υἱοὶ Νεκωδα ἑξακόσιοι πεντήκοντα δύο

61and of the sons of the priests: the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Koz, and the sons of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called by their name.

καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν τῶν ἱερέων υἱοὶ Χαβια υἱοὶ Ακους υἱοὶ Βερζελλαι ὃς ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ θυγατέρων Βερζελλαι τοῦ Γαλααδίτου γυναῖκα καὶ ἐκλήθη ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτῶν

62These sought their names among those registered by genealogy, but they were not found. Therefore they were excluded from the priesthood.

οὗτοι ἐζήτησαν γραφὴν αὐτῶν οἱ μεθωεσιμ καὶ οὐχ εὑρέθησαν καὶ ἠγχιστεύθησαν ἀπὸ τῆς ἱερατείας

63And Athersatha told them not to eat from the holy things until a priest should arise with the Lights and Perfections.

καὶ εἶπεν Αθερσαθα αὐτοῖς τοῦ μὴ φαγεῖν ἀπὸ τοῦ ἁγίου τῶν ἁγίων ἕως ἀναστῇ ἱερεὺς τοῖς φωτίζουσιν καὶ τοῖς τελείοις

64And the whole assembly together counted forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,

πᾶσα δὲ ἡ ἐκκλησία ὡς εἷς τέσσαρες μυριάδες δισχίλιοι τριακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα

65besides their male and female servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven; and there were two hundred men and women singers.

χωρὶς δούλων αὐτῶν καὶ παιδισκῶν αὐτῶν οὗτοι ἑπτακισχίλιοι τριακόσιοι τριάκοντα ἑπτά καὶ οὗτοι ᾄδοντες καὶ ᾄδουσαι διακόσιοι

66They had seven hundred thirty-six horses, two hundred forty-five mules,

ἵπποι αὐτῶν ἑπτακόσιοι τριάκοντα ἕξ ἡμίονοι αὐτῶν διακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα πέντε

67four hundred thirty-five camels, and six thousand seven hundred twenty donkeys.

κάμηλοι αὐτῶν τετρακόσιοι τριάκοντα πέντε ὄνοι αὐτῶν ἑξακισχίλιοι ἑπτακόσιοι εἴκοσι

68And some from the heads of the families, when they came up to the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to erect it in its place.

καὶ ἀπὸ ἀρχόντων πατριῶν ἐν τῷ ἐλθεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς οἶκον κυρίου τὸν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἡκουσιάσαντο εἰς οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ στῆσαι αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν αὐτοῦ

69According to their ability, they gave to the treasury for the work sixty-one thousand pieces of pure gold, five thousand pieces of silver, and one hundred garments of the priests.

ὡς ἡ δύναμις αὐτῶν ἔδωκαν εἰς θησαυρὸν τοῦ ἔργου χρυσίον καθαρόν μναῖ ἓξ μυριάδες καὶ χίλιαι καὶ ἀργύριον μναῖ πεντακισχίλιαι καὶ κοθωνοι τῶν ἱερέων ἑκατόν

70So the priests and the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers, and the temple servants settled down in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.

καὶ ἐκάθισαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται καὶ οἱ ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ οἱ ᾄδοντες καὶ οἱ πυλωροὶ καὶ οἱ ναθινιμ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν
